Danny Stephens is a painter, educator, and community-based activist based in Portland, Oregon.  Originally from Mississippi, life experiences triggered a transition from a path of college football to a career in art. He holds a BFA in Art Education from the University of Utah and balances his creative practice with facilitating artistic community spaces as a co-founder and council member of The Haven PDX.

As a visual artist, Danny blends realism with mystical symbolism to explore the complexities of being human in such potent times. Each piece reflects a deep curiosity, using visual storytelling to bridge the gaps where language falls short.
